Awesome dissection, Kae. You hit the nail on the head. Sorry troll… welcome to life in civilization where we interact with other people. Sometimes, in order to have fun you have to do stuff you don’t like. Goodness gracious. I have been with my church choir for 13 years, love the people, love the activity (sound familiar?), but some times I Just. Don’t. Want. To. Go. But I do because the people depend on me.

And you know what?

If they really are good people? They are OK if you all don’t want to show up every now and then.

I’m not sure that that particular Soapbox was subtle enough to be called ‘trolling’, though I do understand that the meaning of the word is like the wind, constantly changing (my first encounter with that word: fishing with a drag line).

And granted that the purpose of the soapbox column is to generate controversy.

But my gawd, the complete denial of personal responsibility expressed there is just too much. We are ALL responsible for our actions. Blizzard can’t nerf that.
